Building Services

Throughout the whole semester of my building services subject, I have learned and gained a lot of knowledge about services in a building. This is one of the subjects that are very new to me. I’ve learned several types of building services for example ventilation, telecommunication, storm water system, hot and cold water supply. It was difficult in the beginning because they were very new to me. There are also a lot of terms used. Our building services lecturer, Ms Mariatul Liza had lectured us patiently. She was willing to explain and teaches us whenever we had problems and difficulties. We were given an assignment in the early of the semester. She had separated us into 6 each group for the assignment. The purpose of the assignment was to study a site and explain the topic that we had chosen which was the “Indoor Environmental Quality of a Healthcare”. We went to the Sunway Medical Centre to have our research. We had faced a lot of problems and difficulties in doing this assignment. We had different ideas and sometimes we were stuck in the report. Besides that, we were assigned to make a video about the particular topic that we had chosen. In the process of doing the assignment with my group mates, I have learned how to communicate effectively with them. We were able to finish up the assignment on time.
